Back from extended vacation

Hello folks. As you may have noticed, there’s been a good bit of time between my last post and today. This has been a result, largely, of my lack of a computer since the first weekend of February. Additional factors included the very large time commitment given to the 2010 Bateman competition (which I will be discussing in full soon) and the rest of my courses during my final quarter in Athens, Ohio. Since my last post, I have moved into my lovely apartment in Chicago (pictures to accompany an upcoming post) and left my beloved Athens behind. With this move and transition will come changes to the format and design of this here Web page. Since I’ve successfully secured an internship with Weber Shandwick (and cannot wait to begin next Monday) here in Chicago, I will be sharing my experiences as far as my confidentiality agreement and good sense will allow. I will also be writing about my adventures in Chicagoland, as I explore the third largest city in the country and make sure it’s a memorable experience. Finally, I will be using this site as a way to document, promote and facilitate my freelance work as a writer and public relations strategist. Expect some rearranging to take place once I get my CS4 up and running.

I notice that despite my lack of activity, there has still been steady traffic, and while I’m not entirely sure where it’s coming from or what’s driving it, I hope to vindicate the visits from herein with consistent postings. Words cannot describe how excited I am to be opening this new chapter in my life, but I’m going to do my damndest to find the right ones.

Cheers.
